"A corner of the world, Bethnal Green. "A corner of the world" is a convivial and lively Portuguese café that opened in April 2015. Coffee Portuguese-style, pastéis de nata, pastéis de bacalhau and a range of tasty toasties, it's perfect for a casual lunch. There is also a deli shop of products from Portugal, Spain and some other places of the globe. It always feels sunny there, with some fado in the background."

The spirit of the place is well represented by the name. East London is a small corner of the world and that's why east London always surprise you with every single small coffe shop. This is how I felt getting maroccoan fresh mint tea with some pastry in a sunny afternoon. sweet!

Portuguese cafe with great variation of drinks and sweets! Cozy and perfect for chatting with friends. Quite small so you might not find a free spot though..

Cozy cafe with a slight kitsch and natural vibe. I popped in here one sunny day to pick up an Aloe Vera plant after visiting an installation/performance of which the plants were a part of. The cafe lets in so much natural light that I could almost forget I was indoors and the staff member was really helpful and friendly.

Amazing cafe, but not enough vegan options. Really great place, though, especially if you like coffee. Magazines and books available to read there, with plants around. It's a very cozy place, really love it. This is a Portuguese cafe, and there are food products from Portugal you can purchase there. Great place.

A very cute little cafe with great coffee and great ethics. I haven't tried the cakes, though my mother tried a gluten-free cake which was a little on the dry side. The food always looks amazing when I see people eating there.

Wonderful neighbourhood cafe serving cha de Limao, pasteis de bacalhau (on the same level as Moro's). Very authentic Portuguese food, bread, chorizo; cafe has a nice laid-back atmosphere with friendly service and quirky decor with beautiful azulejo-covered floor - all very Lisbon and top quality food and service.

Really lovely local. It takes you back to a typical old school grocery store in Portugal. Coffee is fantastic and the custard tarts are delicious.
