"Spending a few days at the resort was an absolute pleasure and I returned eagerly after my first visit two years earlier. I loved cruising by boat through the tree-lined lagoons with turtles and birds before stepping onto the small dock that leads to the two-level Wellness Suites, which feature a well-stocked bar, coffee center, dining room and living room downstairs and an upper-level bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows plus an expansive bathroom with an outdoor shower and relaxation area. The property’s winding lagoons, dense mangroves, pools with shade trees, the beach, attentive staff, spa treatments, cocktails at Zapote Bar, and abundant dining options all combine to create a relaxing, pampering atmosphere. With 129 suites including multi-bedroom accommodations and private residences, activities range from hydrobiking and kayaking through the lagoons (including an underwater cenote) to family programs like Rosewood Explorers; for me, alternating between the warm Caribbean, the pool, and a lounge chair made for perfect days." - Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty is a writer who specializes in covering destinations, resorts, and cruises for Travel + Leisure and other publications.
