must try in MN
Culver's
Fast Food Restaurant · Plymouth
I chose a random location, but Culver’s is a chain in the Midwest. There’s multiple so you can search it up and see whichever is closest to you. I didn’t see a Wisconsin stop on tour (where Culver’s originated from), but Minnesota Culver’s is also good! It’s a burger place known for their butter burgers, cheese curds, and custard!
Mall of America
Shopping Mall · Bloomington
Have you ever been to Mall of America? It’s the biggest mall in the US and has a theme park in the middle.
Pizza Luce
Pizza Place · Carag
There’s multiple Pizza Luce locations in Minneapolis and all of them are good. Must try their pineapple salsa on the pizza!
Caribou Coffee
Permanently Closed
I chose a random location, but Caribou Coffee is a coffee chain only in Minnesota. It is something you for sure need to get! They also have a location inside the airport. I personally enjoy Vanilla White Mocha (hot) but it is very sweet. They also have frappes (called ‘coolers’), the Turtle Mocha cooler is my favorite and is the most popular. Don’t miss out on a MN coffee franchise!!
Quruxlow Restaurant
East African restaurant · Midtown Phillips
Best authentic Somali food...MN has biggest Somali population, a part of Minneapolis is nicknamed “Little Mogadishu (capital of Somali).” I recommend you get the rice any meat type is good my personal favorite is fish and chicken cutlet but they also have chicken drumsticks, goat, lamb, etc. Make sure they give you the green hot sauce, banana (which is eaten with the rice), and I personally like ranch with it but that isn’t customary. I also recommend halwa (a red sweet) meant for sharing. You can eat it by itself, but I personally like it with bread - it is not served with bread at restaurant-. If this is the only Somali place you will be stopping at get tea with milk -it is Somali style chai- and don’t miss out on Vimto.
