"Mattie Rhodes Art Center, Westside. Mattie Rhodes Center has been helping Kansas City families for over 120 years! The Art Center and Gallery on 17th Street, has art camps for kids and events and art shows throughout the year. The store is filled with unique finds from Latin America, Mexico and local artists. It’ almost impossible to leave empty handed, which is fine because the money you spend goes to help a fantastic organization. If you happen to be in the neighborhood during October, do not miss the Dia De Los Muertos celebrations and gallery of altars."
