"Lety Bakery & Cafe, Jackson Heights by Diane Shaw. Octavio Herrera was a baker at Veniero’s for 21 years before opening his own bakery in Jackson Heights. Named after his wife, Lety’s has a devout old school neighborhood following. They continue to come for the buttery Italian cookies, the crispy, creamy lobster tails and the crazy moist carrot cake. Depending on the season, they also serve gelato and a great pumpkin cheesecake."
