"In Greenpoint, Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop (110 Franklin St.) opened in 2018 and feels deliberately nostalgic: laminate booths, glittery lime-green vinyl stools, orange plastic trays and a vintage vending machine selling ice-cold Coke make me feel like a Carter-era teenager who’s saved up her allowance for a snack after a spin around the roller rink. The counter-service spot focuses on New York-style slices and also offers modern touches such as Mike’s Hot Honey alongside imitation cheese, sausage, and pepperoni." - Hannah Goldfield
