"Situated opposite the church of Santa Maria in Vallicella (known to locals as Chiesa Nuova or new church), this restaurant is named after its owner Alessandro Pipero. Ciro Scamardella, a young chef from Campania who is not yet in his forties, is at the helm in the kitchen, where he prepares modern and creative meat and fish dishes with a focus on the seasons (the beef with spinach, bay leaf and black garlic sauce is particularly good), including a few specialities from his native region. His recipes feature ingredients such as rapini, escarole and lemons and his beautifully presented cuisine demonstrates a continuous search for balance and colour. Front of house, friendly Achille Sardiello leads a team that is fully focused on the needs of guests." - Michelin Inspector
