"Thao Thao might not have sea views but its bánh mì is good enough for you to want to take sanctuary from any hovering seagulls with a taste of Vietnamese food. The cosy restaurant on King Street in Margate has a brief menu of summer rolls, bánh mì, a rice noodle bowl, and a Vietnamese chicken curry. You won’t be pining for anything else. It’s very easy to fall for this place, whether you stop in at lunch for sweet and spicy pork belly bánh mì, or come for a relaxed dinner sharing soy tofu summer rolls and a gratifyingly tingly curry. Bear in mind it’s lunch-only for most of the week but is open until 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays." - Jake Missing
