Tinc Set Montréal shared by @infatuation says: ""Note: Tinc Set is temporarily closed and transforming into Bar Luz in early May. It’ll be a new space from the same owners, with a focus on Mexican food (and wine, and agaves). This former convenience store set on a leafy, quiet street in Outremont is the sister spot to contemporary Mexican restaurant Alma, with a kitchen that spans the two restaurants. Tinc Set (literally “I’m thirsty” in Catalán) is a great choice for solo dining at the bar, sitting at a barrel with a few friends, or a family dinner of Barcelona rotisserie-style chicken or grilled octopus. The food menu is full of Catalán snacks like pan con tomate and conservas, with bigger plates to share. But the wine is the main attraction here—bottles are predominantly from Catalonia and coastal Spain, and the slightly saline Red Grenaches from the region are a perfect match for the food. We’ve been known to buy a bottle of wine or olive oil from the owners’ winemaking friends on our way out, but only after having devoured some churros for dessert. photo credit: Two Food Photographers"" on Postcard
