"If we were to pitch Salty Lunch Lady’s Little Luncheonette, it would go something like: Blue Velvet meets Buddy Holly, with fancy after-school sandwiches and ice box cake. The spacious daytime spot in Ridgewood has mint green walls the color of a vintage Telecaster, and mismatched china piled behind a counter, where you can order a sandwich with thinly sliced mortadella that’s doing an upscale impression of Oscar Mayer bologna. Open from 11:30-4pm, Thursday through Monday, it’s a nice place to grab a quick meal and engage in 1950s cosplay. Try the lightly dressed tuna salad with crisp celery, and don’t ignore the desserts in the refrigerated case. photo credit: Salty Lunch Lady's Little Luncheonette" - Bryan Kim
