"Great bagels are few and far between in Atlanta. So we’re thankful for Bronx Buggy—a Chamblee shop that helps fill the bagel-sized hole in our hearts. A visit to this compact bagel joint usually involves waiting in a line while heat from an oven and sounds of an aggressive meat slicing machine greet you. Everything, from the white- and black-checkered floor to the busy counter-service experience, feels like an NYC bagel deli. They make stellar breakfast sandwiches like the Manhattan—piled high with a fluffy egg patty, swiss cheese, and heaps of thinly shaved pastrami on the kettle-boiled bagel of your choosing. Homemade Pop-Tarts and gigantic blueberry babkas are also winners, but why even visit if you leave without a bagel? photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman" - Juli Horsford
