"The flower-covered cakes at From Lucie achieved cult status the moment this little East Village bakery opened its doors. Like seemingly everyone else in New York City, we’re fans. Stepping into the shop feels like walking inside a watercolor painting of a bakery in the French countryside. The cakes here are so aesthetically pleasing, you half expect them to have gallery representation, and they’re also really delicious. The most popular options are by-the-slice sheet cakes and adorable mini round layer cakes, but we highly recommend trying the impossibly light and delicate Victoria sponge if they have it. You will have to wait in line, but it’s worth it." - Carina Finn
