"As is often the case in many big coastal cities, restaurants on the water can be overpriced, overtouristy, and painfully disappointing. But that’s not the case with La Banchina, a lively spot with docks that lead out into the harbor. Diners come here to swim and eat crispy fish burgers—delicately deep-fried cod wedged inside a golden bun—and wash them down with glasses of natural wine. La Banchina is at its best on a warm day, when locals sun themselves and take post-meal dips in the harbor. But don’t rule it out in the colder months, when the menu turns warm and wintry and you can make use of the onsite sauna. photo credit: Mikkel Bækgaard" - Mary Holland
