"Joe’s has been celebrating dads’ birthdays for over 100 years, and tolerating their dad jokes about the wildly expensive stone crab price points all the while. It’s a Miami classic that’s a lot of fun when you're in the mood for dirty martinis, stone crabs, and nostalgia. The place is packed during stone crab season and you’ll wait at least an hour for a table (they don’t take reservations). But you should also order the $9 fried chicken (it’s their Costco hot dog), hashed brown potatoes, and the key lime pie. If you don't want to fight for a table, just go to their casual dining room next door for takeout or a quick meal." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo
