The Snail shared by @infatuation says: ""If Bernie’s is for martinis with your friends, then The Snail, which is right around the corner, is for wine with your crush. This American bistro in Greenpoint was built for dates, with retro cabinet speakers playing mid-’90s hip-hop, a horseshoe bar, and universally flattering dim lighting. Even the shrimp cocktail is romantic—served over ice, a lit candle flickering in the middle of the platter. We love the house caesar, with radicchio leaves for color and bitterness, fried capers for crunch, and an aggressive, though not unwelcome, showering of pecorino. The house wines are only $9 a glass and quite good. Enjoy an organic grenache with the very cheesy burger, but skip the steak frites. At least on our first visit, the au poivre sauce was as sweet as mulled wine. photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick"" on Postcard
