Tied House shared by @eater says: ""It’s a dazzling display of modern architecture with historic nods to Chicago’s beer industry. There’s also a courtyard that separates the restaurant from Schubas with a giant outdoor fireplace designed by Chicago firm Gensler. Tied House has a menu from a James Beard Award-winning chef. Schubas’ old restaurant, Harmony Grill, sported a family-friendly menu that didn’t take too many risks. Crews demolished Harmony to build Tied House, allowing chef Debbie Gold to create a more-refined menu. Lakeview doesn’t offer an abundance of fine dining, so Gold is happy to fill that void. However, she’s mindful of staying approachable. She’s also making house-made ice cream. The cocktail program features signature drinks, and there’s plenty of beer from Chicago’s best brewers. Customers will still be able to saddle up at the first-floor bar and grab a cheap beer. They might also find Schiltz. Former Swift and Sons sommelier Meredith Rush is Tied House’s beverage director. Tied House’s owners want to give Schubas’ show-goers a place to pre- or postgame and the second floor’s devoted to private events. Audiotree, the owners of Schubas and Lincoln Hall also want to create a dining destination for locals and those outside of Lakeview."" on Postcard
