"Grand Central Terminal had a 3 percent drop in sales in 2018, according to a report from the MTA. The area, which has vendors such as soup chain Hale and Hearty and restaurant Art Bird & Whiskey Bar, turned into restaurant spaces more than 20 years ago, and officials now blame “outdated furniture design” for a decline in revenue. They’re also pointing to the number of homeless people in the terminal. The MTA is planning to hire consultants soon to freshen up the look." - Serena Dai
