"Former Atlas chef Christopher Grossman opens his all-day neighborhood restaurant the Chastain in the former Horseradish Grill space next month. The longtime Southern restaurant closed this past February in Chastain Park after 26 years there. Steve Alterman sold the Buckhead restaurant institution last year to Grossman. Once home to a roadside country store, an interior wall has been removed to allow more natural light to flow through the dining room and provide better access to the patios and garden beyond. The Chastain features a U-shaped bar with cafe tables throughout the space and several patios centered around the garden. Ingredients sourced from the restaurant’s garden will be incorporated into the dishes on the menu for the Chastain, which is described as a 'New American bistro.' The Chastain will offer counter-service coffee, breakfast, and a light lunch daily, starting at 7 a.m. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. nightly. During the health crisis, seating capacity will be limited. Takeout and curbside pick-up with the ability to order online will also be available." - Beth McKibben
