"Opening March 10 at 310 N. Green Street, I learned the two-floor, 30,000-square-foot Punch Bowl Social in Fulton Market will focus on food, booze and games rather than live music; the space features vintage arcade games, Skee-ball, private karaoke rooms, a bocce court, bowling, TVs for sports and virtual-reality gaming (although Punch Bowl didn’t detail what titles or how the tech will be implemented). Drinks will come from a “custom-designed 360-degree bar,” though it’s unclear if that’s just marketing jargon or something that will actually wow customers. The first floor will have a vintage laundromat–inspired design with vinyl floor tiles and communal tables made from repurposed laundry carts. The food, as at Punch Bowl’s 11 other locations, is from a menu developed by celebrity chef Hugh Acheson and includes playful pub favorites such as lobster bacon fries, roasted cauliflower nachos and monkey bread French toast; Punch Bowl will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch and is slated to open in time for March Madness." - Ashok Selvam
