"Ben Skolnick (BoccaLupo) and Jared Warwick’s (Octopus Bar) rhyming pop-up started off as a joke, but their most recent project, the Blue Blood series, is more than enough proof that their collaboration has serious merit. Part supper club and part tasting menu, each Blue Blood course comes paired with a drink — think Parmesan frico, cheese soup, and broccolini paired with a mezcal pepper cocktail that provides an entirely different type of smokiness; arrabbiata pasta accompanied with fluffy lobster and dusted with a fine breadcrumb served with Riesling; romanesco and slightly gritty foie gras mousse served with Pinot Gris for a union of crucifer, richness and minerality.
