LA Street Food Tacos 1986 Adds Second Location on Beverly Near Fairfax | Eater LA

"Great news for taco lovers: Tacos 1986 is expanding to a prominent corner on Beverly Boulevard (7235 Beverly Blvd.), just west of La Brea near the Fairfax district and West Hollywood, taking over a longtime Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location. Co-owner Victor Delgado confirmed that he and taquero Jorge “Joy” Alvarez have inked a deal to bring their Tijuana-style tacos to a larger standalone spot that offers room for patio dining and a bigger footprint than their still-new-ish Downtown space, which fills up on weekends and stays open until 3 a.m. The duo first popped up a year ago at Highland and Lexington, moved to Koreatown, and have run pop-ups across Santa Monica, West Hollywood and a weekly Smorgasburg stand; the Beverly site is meant to serve a growing fanbase who don’t want to schlep Downtown, with an opening planned by early 2020." - Farley Elliott
