D.C. Nightclub Heist Will Reopen Outdoors With a Pop-Up Lounge on the Kennedy Center Roof | Eater DC
"An iconic, high-brow performing-arts complex in Foggy Bottom has made a notable concession to nightlife by leasing a prominent rooftop section for this Heist pop-up; the venue will feature artistic projections against the center and a robbery theme to echo Heist’s Dupont vibe, plus an overhang and heaters to protect patrons. Many scheduled performances, including a planned summer run of Hamilton, were canceled through the end of 2020 with some programs moved into 2021, so the center proved receptive—surprisingly so, according to the club owner—to partnering with a nightlife operator because both see themselves as part of the broader culture and entertainment industry." - Tierney Plumb
