Vickie's Diner shared by @eater says: ""Vickie's Diner, one of the oldest in Las Vegas, closes on Sunday after the building's landlord ordered the restaurant to vacate the building. George Knapp from 8 News Now reports on Twitter that the landlord gave the diner until August 26 close. Owner Vickie Kelesis's uncle, Pete Kelesis, originally owned the restaurant that opened in 1955 inside White Cross Drugs. Legend tells of famous clientele including Rat Pack members and Elvis Presley filling their prescriptions at the Las Vegas Boulevard pharmacy. The former diner, Tiffany's, was famed for its breakfast menu for folks of a less well-heeled heritage, red vinyl seating, and the walls of thrift store-style, outsider art paintings. Vickie's took over the space in 2014. White Cross Drugs closed in 2012 and became White Cross Market, which closed in 2015. That 22,000 square feet of space is still available for lease."" on Postcard
