17 San Francisco Bay Area Restaurant Closures to Know This October 2024 - Eater SF

"Ice cream favorite Humphry Slocombe first launched out of its 2790 Harrison Street space in 2008, but since then the brand has grown into more locations and selling pints at grocery stores. As of Wednesday, October 30, however, the original shop will close for good. Co-owner Jake Godby told Eater via text that the situation is “heartbreaking” and says, “We’ve been losing money there since Covid and haven’t had the resources to put into maintaining the store the way we would have liked. I guess sometimes you have to make hard choices.”" - Justine Jones
