"Cafe Kestrel opened at the end of June in a Red Hook space. The venue offers a lovely little storefront with a few tables, ideal for a date night. The meal included fried squash blossoms with honey, skate wing with fava beans, a chicken dish with a potato tower, carrots, and capers, ending with a saffron rice pudding resembling creme brulee. The portions are reasonable and the ambiance simple and elegant." - Eater Staff
