"A quiet Silver Lake convenience store starts up today, as The Goods Mart gets rolling along Sunset Boulevard right by Sweetfin. The grab-and-go spot is the work of longtime restaurant publicist Rachel Krupa, with the idea of giving back to the community at large in a number of different ways. As LA Times explains, Krupa’s market features high-quality, “better-for-you” snacks that aren’t packed with preservatives and sugar. There’s also quick service options like premade Banh Oui sandwiches, Bakers Kneaded pastries, and Sunny Blue bites, plus $1.25 La Colombe Coffee. Anything that isn’t used after 24 hours, including produce, goes down to Skid Row. The Goods Mart is open as of 7 a.m. this morning at 3140 Sunset Boulevard." - Farley Elliott
