Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts called off plans to host the first weekend of a “lounge pop-up” on its rooftop terrace — the opening night had been set for October 3 — saying it needed more time to evaluate whether the outdoor rental would meet the building’s health and safety standards and the city’s latest reopening guidelines.
