"Located in the heart of Milan inside the historic, iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Galleria Vik Milano acts as both a hotel and a private museum. The South American art-loving import, Vik Retreats, claimed the former TownHouse Galleria and transformed it into this creative and forward-looking space. The hallways have been transformed into art galleries, and each suite is created as a site-specific art installation by Italian, Uruguayan, and international artists. The walls in each guest room are finished in the Italian design technique, “stucco Veneziano,” with twenty different color variations that compliment its decor—reflecting Milan’s rich artistic heritage. Even VIK Pellico Otto, their inspirational art gallery restaurant which overlooks the famous bull in the Galleria, is adorned with colorful marble tables and showcases work from many of the artists represented throughout the suites.
