"Opened in 2012, during the height of the recession, this passion project started small, serving just coffee and baked goods with a focus on making everything fresh and in-house. Within a couple of years they expanded to breakfast, then lunch, then dinner; now, there are two locations, a cookbook, daily brunch, and a heap of awards. The bright and contemporary city center location—all light woods, quirky furnishings, and greenery—has expanded, too, so there’s plenty of seating both inside and out to accommodate the die-hards. The crowd is modern Dublin all the way, from locals who’ve traveled or lived abroad, and crave international flavors, to the health-conscious or vegan, and, of course, brunch devotees who need their avo toast on the daily. The expansive menu caters to every taste, but the semolina pancakes, halloumi sabiche, and slow-roasted Irish briskets are particular standouts." - Sandra Ramani
