The building dates to the 19 th century, and has spent much of its history as a place where things get done, serving as a post office, a tax collector, the US Department of Agriculture and Commerce and the Puerto Rico Department of State. Towering, wood-beamed ceilings make the 43 rooms and suites feel particularly spacious and airy.
