MIDA shared by @cntraveler says: ""At this Italian neighborhood restaurant snuggled into the South End , decorated chef-owner Douglass Williams happily challenges opinions about what constitutes a brunch dish. Smoked beef short-rib lasagna in the morning? Go ahead. The fontina and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese brings on the decadence, and the bright side salad lightens things up (it’s all about balance). But, if you do lean towards the menu's usual-brunch suspects, opt for the Mida slam—scrambled eggs, bacon, crisp-edged home fries, a buttered pancake, and toast—which does the diner classic even better. There are also lemon curd pancakes topped with sunflower granola, and shakshuka all'amatriciana braised eggs that take a bath in spice-stocked tomato sauce. If you find yourself in the ‘burbs west of Boston, check out Mida’s Newton outpost, which opened in 2021. The spot showcases much of the same brunch menu, but with two stellar additions: pizzas, and much easier parking."" on Postcard
