"In Bordeaux, Les Sources de Caudalie incorporates the famed wine grapes into beauty treatments with their trademarked vinotherapy, which draws upon the anti-aging properties of the polyphenols found in grape seeds, combined with Caudalie’s own organic products. The spa, an expansive cedar wood and Douglas pine building flooded with natural light, features 20 treatment rooms, a hammam, and a natural bath with thermal water drawn from 1772 feet below ground. Last year, the hotel unveiled a complete redesign, with a contemporary, elegant, countrified look. The onsite restaurant, La Grand'Vigne, has been awarded two Michelin stars since 2015, and showcases the best of Aquitane terroir. Surrounded by a forest and a serene lake, and located on a 600-year-old winery, guests will have no trouble settling into the rhythm of (wine) country life." - Caitlin Gunther
