"Tell us about your first impressions when you arrived. The brick-and-mortar branch of Guerilla Tacos has taken what was once outside, as a foo truck, and brings it in with colorful graffiti walls, an open kitchen (tiled with the phrase "LA Don’t Play"), and a Banksy-style stencil dedicated to the late Angeleno food critic Jonathan Gold. There’s always a solid vibe, fueled in equal measure by a good hip-hop playlist and great margs. What was the crowd like? This is a laid-back crowd—don't overdress. What should we be drinking? Micheladas and margaritas are the name of the game, but they're far from the commonplace cocktails you'd find elsewhere. If you want something slightly more tropical, opt for the Summer Nights in Oaxaca, a boozy concoction of reposado, cacao liqueur, demerara, angostura and mole bitters.. Main event: the food. Give us the lowdown—especially what not to miss. Don't miss the squash blossom quesadilla made with Midnight Moon cheese and topped with a fried egg, or the al pastor negro mushroom with avo puree and charred pineapple.
