Fondation Maeght shared by @cntraveler says: ""Fashion and architecture lovers alike can now add Fondation Maeght to their bucket list. Last night, Louis Vuitton debuted its new Cruise 2019 collection at the hilltop museum, situated about 15 miles from Nice in the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, along the French Riviera. The foundation was created in 1964 by art dealers Marguerite and Aimé Maeght, who imagined and financed the foundation to establish a creative space for modern and contemporary artists to be displayed. Today, the foundation owns one of the largest art collections in Europe, spanning sculptures, paintings, and graphic works of the 20th century by artists like Miró and Marc Chagall, both friends of the Maeghts. The building itself was designed by Spanish architect Josep Lluís Sert, and was created as a reinterpretation of a Mediterranean village."" on Postcard
